Welcome to the Shepton Mallet Horticultural Society web site. We are a community group with a keen interest in plants and gardens. In the winter we meet at the The Dusthole (Kings Arms, Garston Street) in Shepton Mallet where we have speakers, hands-on workshops or demonstrations. How To Make A Lantern. Why & who. Next Lantern Parade on Saturday 20th December 2014. Shepton Lantern Festival culminates in a festive parade of hand-made paper lanterns through Shepton Mallet, set to the beat of the Samba Sulis band.
