My Work | Visualizing Urban Futures
https://visualizingurbanfutures.com/mywork
Notebook and portfolio of Sheraz Khan. My work is focused on cities, which I examine from a variety of different lenses. I am excited by learning new techniques, tools and ways of thinking, and my work reflects this. From digital media, sensory experience, cartography, memory and storytelling, I am deeply interested in how we understand our daily lives. If you are interested in seeing a selection of my graphic design and mapping work, please see my portfolio at sherazkhan.de. Texture/Tone – 2014.

Notebook and portfolio of Sheraz Khan. May 28, 2016. Here’s a first run at a poster I made trying to simplify Germany in order to memorize the provinces and the capital cities. I learned a while ago that maps are more understandable when corners and lines (or complex shapes) are minimized, so I used only 90 and 45 degree angles and simplified shapes and fonts. The map is part of a 1-poster-a-day project I’m trying to do over the next 100 days. May 18, 2016. Check me out at sherazkhan.de. April 7, 2016.
