About my adventures with computers, digital photography, motorcycling, plus family and friends. Thursday, April 23, 2015. A Bunch of Topics. Dar sent me a message today asking if all was well, given my lack of postings.Yes, all is well. I'm afraid I have been a bit lazy. We spent January on the Big Island of Hawaii. It was great. It was our second visit and we took it very easy. February was cold everywhere, but unusually so here near Toronto. But, we survived. New style LED pot lights can have their alu...

http://triumphantsblog.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
About my adventures with computers, digital photography, motorcycling, plus family and friends. Thursday, July 23, 2015. Dar did not have to kick me again to update my blog. Something must be wrong. Back in June, Dianne and I went to see the play, Titanic. We took the GO Transit bus. Round trip for seniors is $16.50 or so. The ride is great, and this time we sat up front. So, the 401 traffic 40 minutes out from downtown Toronto looks like this:. We went to a restaurant. Then, we went to the theatre.

For Love of a Motorbike: Who'd Have Thought...
http://loveofamotorbike.blogspot.com/2014/01/who-have-thought.html
For Love of a Motorbike. Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Atlanta would see these temps? Yes, that is in Fahrenheit. I haven't seen any motorbikes on the road today. The big concern would be from breaking sprinkler pipes laying great sheets of ice across the road. Don't laugh. It is happening. :). Jan 7, 2014, 2:16:00 PM. I was surprised too. I thought it was always warmer where you were. Glad to see you back. Make sure to turn off your outside taps. Riding the Wet Coast. Jan 8, 2014, 11:51:00 PM. Meanwhile, I ...

For Love of a Motorbike: Giving it a Rethink
http://loveofamotorbike.blogspot.com/2014/06/giving-it-rethink.html
For Love of a Motorbike. Sunday, June 1, 2014. Giving it a Rethink. It all culminates down to motivation and time. Over the last couple months we have ridden a little. We (I) have worked a paying gig as an official Motorcycle Marshal for a bicycle race south of Atlanta, in pouring rain. We had the great pleasure of running around with Mike over at Scooter for Fun. I was recently in New Jersey for a training class. I just missed out on meeting up with Jack the Riepe. Oilburner had already removed his mars...

One Man Caravan is completely engrossing. A gentleman who rode 'round the world in 1932! Feb 9, 2014, 9:32:00 PM. Must be time to sit by the fireplace and read, eh…. Nice selection of books. Okemo II | 2 Up, 1 Road
https://bmw2up.wordpress.com/2010/08/11/okemo-ii
2 Up, 1 Road. Musings from the pillion position. August 11, 2010 in Hill Climbs. Last weekend was the second Okemo Hill Climb event of the season, and unlike last time. The weather was spectacular–sunny, clear, and comfortable. Which featured camping near beautiful Moab–but oh, the showers are nice after a long day. The next morning was clear and beautiful, and after having breakfast at our now-usual haunt, Jabba Babbas, we headed to the hill for some racing. No, Chris did not race this bike. Killington ...

A Redleg's Rides: September 2014
http://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. 26-28SEP14: The Durango Weekend. This past weekend, I motored down with Scarlett, my 2014 URAL Patrol Sidecar Rig down to southwest Colorado and the town of Durango. The primary focus of this weekend was to get together with a couple of Army buddies and one of their wives, that I'd not see in decades. It was early morning by the time I approached the junction of US285 and US24, near Buena Vista. The sun was still low enough to cause the below shadow frame for the picture:.

A Redleg's Rides: Tire Rotation
http://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2015/08/tire-rotation.html
Saturday, August 08, 2015. I'd notice the thread on my pusher tire starting to look a bit "thin". Measured it today and it was at 3/32" (2.38mm). Legal minimum, as I recall, is 2/32" (1.58 mm). Got almost 7000 (6984) kilometers from when I changed out the pusher to K37s back at the beginning of the year. Not bad. Saved myself a drive downtown where the moto shop is located with a onsite tire changing service, along with the fee of $25/tire or $50. I did break two of the rubber strips used to cover the sp...

A Redleg's Rides: February 2015
http://redlegsrides.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Scarlett, my 2014 URAL Patrol Sidecar Rig and I took advantage of a gorgeous day here in the Metro Denver area. Though the snow remains still covering grassy areas, the roads were just mostly wet to dry due to the bright sunshine we got today. More snow forecast for the next couple of days so we headed out during the lunch hour to run some errands. Fox Racing Comp 5 Shorty Boots. They're classified as ATV Boots, short version of the full-up MX boots used by dirt bike riders.
