Writing from the Heart. I’ve always enjoyed writing, but never really pursued it. Writing seemed like such a risky endeavor. What if I wasn't good enough? So I ignored the dream and went for a business degree instead. I worked as an administrative assistant for several years, and when our first baby came along, I decided to become a full-time mom. While my babies napped, I enjoyed some adult conversation while interviewing people from church. Everyone had a story, and I enjoyed sharing those stories.

Writing from the Heart. It's been a busy week around here. Honestly, I'm still adjusting to having three extra people hanging around me all day. I didn't get much writing done, so I thought I'd share a story I wrote a couple of years ago. It's actually a "throwback" on my blog. If you've already read it, maybe this time you could share it with someone else you think might enjoy it. (hint-hint). I love sharing stories about growing up on a farm. And this is one of them. Writing from the Heart. I always knew the time would come. Some days I even looked forward to it. But the day my third (and final) baby started kindergarten, I was caught off guard. As the school bus drove away, my mommy heart ached and I felt lost. I meandered back into the house, set the video camera on the table and wiped a tear from my cheek. Wow Ten years. With an anticipated guest list of 100 to Corinne and Brett’s wedding shower, I wanted to try an inexpensive (but adorable) method to customize table number tags. I purchased these Avery labels for about $12 per pack of 96, then printed them in navy blue ink. I then coated them with a water-based sealer called “Varnish Plus”. In a Satin sheen, using a whiz roller. This seals the ink in, but more importantly seals the paper for the next step.
