Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Heckawee Nation of So Illers was rocked on May 8th by spirits from the west, knocking over and out trees and other luxuries throughout the region. They hit Molteni hardest but his will remains strong like his climbing. A lesson Heckawee learned is El Guapo is only as reliable as his chainsaw bar is wide. Monday, June 22, 2009. Southwest Wisco Day 2: You want donuts with that? After fueling up at the Kwikery in Platteville, Heckawee were led to a new settlement of women in Lancaster, WI. They could not stay as Coach had them on strict schedule. But the day was too beautiful and the climbs too long and the views too inspiring to stay on track. They traveled in the wrong direction and GPS took over to get them back to Mount Hope in time to meet 60 bikers at a friendly establishment. Another day without Pittz.

Wednesday, July 16, 2008. 4th of July in Steamboat. Rode some pretty rad trails, saw the Woodbox Gang. Travel on I-70 during the weekend, especially a holiday weekend. I spent 4 hours on a fifty mile stretch of road. Un-freakin'-real. So anyway, Steamboat is sick with an endless network of trails that are all accessible from almost every doorstep. I'll be going back in the winter if not sooner. Thanks to B and all his roomies for being so cool and I'm really sorry about the carpet. 3/14/09 CU Crit 3/4/5.

I got a phone call from a buddy who works at a local bike shop inviting me to an underground nighttime crit series that will be taking place every Wednesday night for the duration of the season.or so we hope it will last that long. The inaugural crit went down last night. 8 racers showed up including co-owner of a local bike shop, a local frame builder, an elite level track racer who is also a pro roadie and some other local cycling enthusiasts. You must have front and rear lights.
