Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Sophie's Fish by A.E. Cannon; illustrated by Lee White * *. A young boy imagines all the disasters that could come his way after he agrees to pet sit his friend's fish while she is away. He calms down just in time for the fish to arrive and a surprisingly shocking ending to greet him. I love the touch of humor and the mixed media illustrations dominated by watercolor and collage provide a fascinating back-drop for the story. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Litlb00k's Spot: June 2009
http://litlb00k.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 25, 2009. By Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Tom Lichtenheld. What if the answer to your every wish was "YES" for one whole day? This clever, fun-filled picture book answers that very question. Don't miss the shopping cart filled with cereal boxes sporting names such as "Big Awesome Toy Prize Cereal", "Marshmallow Fluff Cereal: With Bits of Actual Cereal", and my favorite, "Hot Fudge Sundae and Oats Flakes: 1 Whole Oat Per Serving". Fun for a quick read or a closer look. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
