Raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis research. Sunday, September 26, 2010. Sherri and her Bike. Saturday, September 11, 2010. Bike with NO suspension, I was nervous, and a bit intimidated. It didn't help when I casually asked the woman next to me "Have you done this race before? She answered, "Once." Then she eyed my bike up and down and asked "Don't you have a mountain bike? Oooo Boy. That got my competitive juices flowing a bit. Bring it on, lady! I'm not going down without a fight. Sherri and her Bike.

Raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis research. Saturday, October 2, 2010. Iron Cross Training and Mean Dogs. That sent them on their way. I kept riding; didn't see any blood running down my leg; so all was well. I continued on my route, enjoying the scenery and couldn't resist stopping to take a photo of the country lane I was riding down. It was a good day to be alive. PS: I have a nice bruise on my thigh from the dog bite. Guess we'll start a week early with the bruises. Sherri and her Bike.

Raising awareness for Cystic Fibrosis research. Sunday, February 27, 2011. A Ride in Honor of Kathy. Well, on Friday, Kathy's beeper went off. A heart and kidney were waiting for her in Philadelphia, a 4 hr drive from her home. She had a 6 hr window to get there. By 9PM, she was in surgery. But before she headed in to the operating room, she said to her husband Steve, "Order me a bike.". And on February 26th, which would have been our Aunt Esther's birthday, Kathy had her new heart and kidney.
