Monday, August 3, 2015. Because I love to be in the mountains, I spend as much time there as I can. Many times I leave Jane with Daniel because she can't handle the long walks. As my family gets older I am realizing that if I want a hiking companion, I need to get Jane to come with me! Sunday we decided to go to Twin Lakes. It is about 2 1/2 miles total with a 700 foot elevation gain, so it is a pretty good hike for her. She did a great job! Jane got ready for the hike by putting on a dress and her tiara.

We were able to borrow a kayak and a paddle board from my sister (thanks Denise! Monday, July 27, 2015. My brother Randy had the day off of work so we went to Black Ridge Reservoir over my house for some fun. The weather was great and we got there before it was super busy, so it was a perfect visit! I didn't even get sunburned! Last year I got fried, so I'm super careful now! Paul on our new kayak. Thursday, July 30, 2015. The weather has been amazingly beautiful lately. I have really enjoyed spending time in the mountains. So it was a lot easier than I had anticipated! It was great to spend the afternoon with my little sister. On our way down the canyon we stopped off at Spruces Campground to visit my parents who were staying there for the week.
