blank box | shiftspace | environment and experience design
http://www.shiftspacedesign.com/portfolio/blank-box-2
The self-initiated concept of Blank Box came from our observations on vacant land in Philadelphia. Having seen the ill-effects of crime in vacant lots in neighborhoods around the city, we sought to find a way to activate the land, rather than just beautify it, patrol it, or ignore it. Our hypothesis was that if we could provide programs out of these unused spaces we could make neighborhoods safer. 3 by adding places. 4 customized to programs. Looking for SHIFT products? construction fence | shiftspace | environment and experience design
http://www.shiftspacedesign.com/portfolio/30th-st-station
At 30th Street Station. We worked with Amtrak and University City District to design a temporary construction fence that beautifies the station surround during a two-year construction project. Our design approach was to create a series of planter units comprised of an anchor tall planter, low planter, and wall planter. These units were then organized around the existing construction fence in a radial fashion. Looking for SHIFT products? JOIN OUR EMAIL LIST.
