Recipes by geeks, for geeks. Oct 11th, 2010 at 11:15 AM. This is amazing. A little time-consuming to make, but worth it at the end. We used turkey Italian sausage instead of the regular pork-based kind, and I also added in some green pepper chunks as well. 2 pounds plum tomatoes, halved lengthwise. 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided. 2 garlic cloves, minced. 8 ounces uncooked ziti. 2 cups fresh broccoli florets. 1 pound Italian sausage links, cut into 1/2-inch slices. 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.

I almost wish I lived in Minnesota... - Playgrounds of the Mind

Playgrounds of the Mind. Just this guy, you know? I almost wish I lived in Minnesota. Dec 15th, 2009 at 4:58 PM. So then I could say, "Yes, indeed, my senator is Al Franken." There are a couple of great lines in this 5 minute clip, particularly this one: "We are entitled to our own opinions. We aren't entitled to our own facts.". 4 comments Leave a comment. So excited!!!!!!: handspinning
http://handspinning.livejournal.com/158019.html
I am SO EXCITED that I found this community. I have a drop spindle and my husband (my great enabler) want to buy me a wheel for my birthday (dies). Now to decide which wheel is best for me. I have been teaching myself how to spin using my trusty drop spindle. Actually, I didnt know what I was doing so I bought a crappy drop spindle that my husband altered to make better for me :) My first yarn was ghastly! And then it started to improve. Heres my latest . hank? Is that the right term? Post a new comment.

Frustrations: handspinning
http://handspinning.livejournal.com/159002.html
I was so excited about this wheel a few hours ago. Now I want to throw it out the window. I cant even get it to start taking up the wool. At all. I have been at it for nearly 4 hours and I have spun zero ounces. I have no idea what to do.,. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. The Experiments Continue: handspinning
http://handspinning.livejournal.com/159871.html
In the last 3 weeks Ive come really far with my spinning. I spun up some more roving. Merino and bamboo silk. After I spun it I dyed it with mulberries and rose petals. The only pr.blem is I didnt measure and I dont think Ill ever get this color again. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. We will log you in after post. Slubby silk skein!: handspinning
http://handspinning.livejournal.com/157705.html
So I finished carding and spinning my dyed cocoons (re earlier post), and just two-plied them together. I ended up with around 330 yards of very slubby laceweight yarn, weighing all of 1.25 ounces. I'd appreciate suggestions for what to do with it. The obvious option would be a scarf or shawlette, but I worry that it would be too clingy and subject to static because it's so light. Here's a photo of how it turned out - I'm quite pleased with it. Next project: cat hair! Post a new comment.
