Amatsu Shinmei-goo has over 800 years` history, founded by MINAMOTO no Yoritomo. On the top of mt. Naginami, there is Naginami Jinja. Izanagi-Okami and Izanami-Okami are deified, and they are husband and wife. They borne Amaterasu-Okami, who is deified in the main palace of Amatsu Shinmei-goo, therefore they keep their eyes from Naginami Jinja on mt. Naginami. Naginami-sai(the opening of mt.
