Ceci n'est pas un blog. Monday, April 30, 2007. Hard At Work, Or Hardly Working? Trish's dad and I are re-doing the front yard. So far, we've stripped off the old porch, and are reinforcing the supports, while we wait for the new decking to arrive. This involved much sledge-hammering, pry-barring, and entirely too much nail-removal. Here I am, working hard! Posted by Jaba Adams at 3:01 PM. Links to this post. Tuesday, April 17, 2007. Jaba's Diet Blog: July 2006

Monday, July 31, 2006. Blood Pressure: 126/86 (mmHg). I got my blood-pressure machine back from my parents. This reading is a lot lower than one I took yesterday. I took that one after climbing some stairs, then resting for about 2 min. That reading was about 20/10 higher. It's suggested that you rest for 10 min before taking a reading. I'm measuring my BP and pulse just after waking, sitting up in bed, but before getting out of bed. Oh - all measurements are on my left arm. Coffee with soy milk and sugar.

Ceci n'est pas un blog. Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Http:/ justin.tv/" Justin TV. I'm watching live video, effectively through someone else's eyes, of a talk at YCombinator. In California. In real-time. I went to the original YCombinator startup school, and I've been following Paul Graham. Companies, as well as reading Jessica Livingston's book. It's surreal to see them there live. It's funny. I used to be really interested in Steve Mann. Wow, the internet really does. Posted by Jaba Adams at 11:55 PM.

Ceci n'est pas un blog. Saturday, August 25, 2007. We spent a day in Madrid, before connecting to Asturias. Since we didn't have a place to stay, and since it was 36 degrees C, we decided to camp out on the city tour buses. Here are the pics. Labels: travel spain madrid. Posted by Jaba Adams at 8:11 PM. Jaba's Un-blog: June 2008
http://jabas-unblog.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Ceci n'est pas un blog. Friday, June 27, 2008. I took part in the Toronto Indie Game Jam again, this May, with some friends. We had 2.5 days to create a small game. We decided to use the Unity engine. And actually managed a fun demo, with breaks for Mother's Day, and prior obligations. Office Smash is up on the TOJam site, here. You can play it from your browser, as long as you download the Unity plug-in (like Flash/Shockwave). Here's a Youtube video:. Posted by Jaba Adams at 11:38 AM. Links to this post.

Jaba's Un-blog: January 2007
http://jabas-unblog.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Ceci n'est pas un blog. Wednesday, January 31, 2007. I've been hearing about Haskell. A fair bit lately, so I thought I'd take a look at it. I've only played around with it for an hour or so, so it's too early to draw any real conclusions. I need to pick a small project to implement in the language. I'm working through Yet Another Haskell Tutorial. The article that first got me to thinking about the language was this post. What's got me really excited is the idea of Monads. 1, 'a', "goodbye"). That seems...
