Two Years Ago Today. Two years ago today I received the devastating diagnosis that I have ALS. I received this news the day before Valentines day. For the rest of my life, I know that tragedy is always supported by love. I experienced enormous love and support immediately from friends are from strangers. ALS is a disease with no cure, no rhyme or reason.It is impossible to know what is coming next or how fast things will progress. I do know that I am a stubborn fighter. Has novelty has worn off? Two years ago I was diagnosed with ALS. Immediately everyone sprung into action. my. Friends started a root funding fundraiser that skyrocketed. The amazing friends at couture-for-a-cause had a fundraiser to raise money and awareness for my ALS condition. My friends put together an amazing new years eve fundraiser - it was the party of the year. Sparing a few minutes out of your day would mean so much to me. I miss you…. Last week was my birthday.My husband threw me a huge party and many friends and family came. How he found the time in his overworked day to plan a party, I do not know, but I do know that I love him for it. Even stranger for me is the fact that my husband actually did plan a party at all, since I have always planned every party, and all he had to do was show up and host. I made pesach,mostly on my own. I was a force to be reckoned with. I now have had ALS for 2 years and need help with almost everything.
