I am a Rikishi. My goal is to spread Sumoudou. And to try to live the Ideal. It was given to me by Konishiki III. When he was an Oyakata. I do Amateur Sumou. And try to advance myself on the Path of Sumoudou. In 1997 I founded the Czech Sumou Union. I'm consciously trying to improve myself and work hard towards making myself a better man - that is what I think Sumoudou. This site is my project of building a Sumou Encyclopedia. That will make available the ideas of Sumoudou. Last updated November 4, 2009.

Sumou is the Japanese National Art. It has two sides, and it can be understood in two ways - as a Sport. And as a Way. Sumou has developed and changed for hundreds of years. The first mention of Sumou is in Kojiki. Which describes a legendary Sumou bout between two Gods. However Sumou back then was basically a deadly combat, just pure fighting, it wasn't Sumou as is understood today. Throughout the centuries it has evolved, passing through stages where it was utilized by Samurai. But it's more than that.

By fighting purely on Power. What this means is that Winning. Must be achieved via Power Sumou. It is not enough to Win. You must win via superior Power. Is expected, thus there is no inherent Value. Just in the fact that one has won. The Value. Comes from Power. When you Win. Via superior Power that's what has Meaning.
