Mexican Street Vendors | Under the Shadow
https://undertheshadow.me/2015/07/11/mexican-street-vendors
July 11, 2015. As we pulled to a stop at the red light in Guadalajara, our American friend was shocked to see the intersection street vendors. After all, in America you never see people walking in the middle of the road between the stopped cars selling things. As our friend questioned my husband, “Who would buy something here? This vendor had exactly what I had been looking for! This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). Build ...

June | 2015 | Under the Shadow

Monthly Archives: June 2015. June 18, 2015. As I mentioned earlier, El Abastos resembles a farmers market on steroids. It is roughly fifteen entire blocks of vendors. After a decade of navigating the Abastos, I have learned to streamline my shopping. I basically go to two streets: the first one and the thirteenth one. June 11, 2015. Learning to Fit In | Under the Shadow
https://undertheshadow.me/2015/07/04/learning-to-fit-in
July 4, 2015. Learning to Fit In. Since moving to Mexico I have become a terrible driver. Well….terrible may not be the best discription. Perhaps “terror on wheels” would be more accurate….at least, when I employ my new found driving skills on streets in the United States. 8221; This type of driving, that in Guadalajara keeps me alive, in Tennessee could easily cause an accident. Lazy Saturday Moment | Under the Shadow
https://undertheshadow.me/2015/07/18/lazy-saturday-moment
July 18, 2015. It’s Saturday and I’m sitting in the rocker. For a moment life is peaceful. (Well until I started to write, now it seems everyone has a question. LoL). I was at the Hope House by 4:30am and the vans were packed and ready by 5:30am. I said my goodbyes and soon after Rodney and Jacques pulled out headed to the airport. And that is how my Lazy Saturday turned into a Lazy Saturday Moment. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. One thought on “ Lazy Saturday Moment. July 18, 2015 at 10:28 pm.

Mexico Mission: More than a plate of food: August 2016
http://hopehousechefkarlee.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Beginning our happily "Ever" after. Today is my 17 day wedding anniversary, and I want to shout it from the rooftops and I don’t care who hears me! Ok, maybe that’s a little extreme, but I am more in love than I was the day of my wedding! Waking up with my love every morning, and doing normal life duties such as grocery shopping and house cleaning together are much more enjoyable than before. Everything has become an adventure and everything an important first! Every three-five ...

Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays; not just because Thanksgiving food are some of my favorite foods; but because I always have cherished the significance and the time shared with friends and family. Giving thanks for his blessing of provision, as God. He has absolutely won my heart, worked hard to get my attention and do everything correct to win it! He came out of no where; but I see now how God was manipulating all the details and dates to make everythi...
