Shocking Hocking: June 2014

http://shockinghocking.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Other stuff I've made and remembered to photograph. Wednesday, 25 June 2014. The Bride Series - The Bride Masked. Continuing with the theme, inspiration came from many women/girls who are masked or veiled for the ceremony - which also has comparisons to the veil worn at traditional western weddings. Beaded, painted and adorned with precious threads and fabrics, all eyes are on her as she makes her way to her destiny. Depth: 20.5 cm. Sun dyed cotton fabric. Wednesday, 18 June 2014. Shocking Hocking: Still here........

http://shockinghocking.blogspot.com/2013/12/still-here.html

Other stuff I've made and remembered to photograph. Tuesday, 17 December 2013. Busy doesn't even describe the past month or so:. Article writing (for my classmates and I, we're Stitch Theorem and we have a couple of exhibitions coming up). One of my exhibition pieces - not yet finished - I used a sun dye in 'bark' and used brown paper as the mask - it was a bit windy that day so I put a load of coins onto the brown paper to stop it blowing away and got a fabulous pattern I wasn't expecting - very serendi...

Shocking Hocking: August 2013

http://shockinghocking.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html

Other stuff I've made and remembered to photograph. Wednesday, 21 August 2013. A new tool.picture heavy post tute. I don't know about you, but binding to finish off the quilt has always been a bit of a chore for me: miles of fabric that gets tangled in the ironing cord, round my legs, the sewing machine etc etc, unpicking dodgy joins and faffing about big time with pins (and usually some reverse sewing) to join the 2 ends once the rest is on the quilt. Well, let me tell you - it's BRILLIANT! Then you cut...

Other stuff I've made and remembered to photograph. Tuesday, 10 June 2014. What has prompted this blog post? I've been published - and my blog address is in the magazine - so I've decided I shouldn't be such a slacker and start blogging again - I'm thinking I could be showing processes, works, whatever - but definitely get back into the habit - it's amazing how quickly one loses the discipline when getting stuck into something else - for me it was getting ready for the end of my course. 10 June 2014 at 1...

72 derwents: November 2012

Sunday, November 4, 2012. I had the loveliest day recently. Judy Newman of A Very Fine House. Came down to the Peninsula to run a class on making her beautiful Museum Medallion. Quilt at Treehouse Textiles. I love a scrappy (not too-co-ordinated) look, so it was fun to raid the shelves of both Amitie and the Treehouse, as well as my humble stash, to come up with a shoebox full of fabrics for piecing. No shortage now. O ff to a grea t s tart. And going well, until . Re tracing the off ending template and ...

72 derwents: Down Under Doll Quilt Swap Round 3

http://72derwents.blogspot.com/2012/10/down-under-doll-quilt-swap-round-3.html

Monday, October 8, 2012. Down Under Doll Quilt Swap Round 3. I've just taken part in the third round of the DUDQS. To explain the concept of this to anyone who doesn't either quilt or blog is a bit of a challenge. "Well it's this weird kind of cyber-photo-sharing-friendship-quilting group. Get it? Take 1 : far too traditional, was scrapped. Take 2: I liked the idea of using the dark grey to create a kind of window frame. October 9, 2012 at 2:21 PM. Your partner will love it xo. http://72derwents.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Welcome to my blog, 72 derwents. When I was a child, I loved to read, write and draw. As long as I had a book or paper and pencils, I was content. I can recall the sense of bliss I would have sitting at my desk, with my treasured box of 72 Derwent pencils and cartridge paper at my fingertips. Recently I purchased these beautiful wools and natural linen from Amitie Textiles. I’ll be attending a Sue Spargo workshop in August and had called in to pick up my supplies. Exotic hues fr...

72 derwents: A parcel peeping

http://72derwents.blogspot.com/2012/10/a-parcel-peeping.html

Thursday, October 11, 2012. As far as days at work go, yesterday was not the best. However things brightened up at the end of the day over a cuppa with a dear friend and some serious contemplation of fabrics. Then even more when I noticed a parcel peeping out of my letter box as I arrived home. How exciting! Created by Louise of Lululollylegs. I have loved Liberty fabrics and scarves for as long as I can remember. Here's a favourite Liberty postcard. Catalogue by Joyce Dennys. Amy Butler was due to visit.

Dee-Zone: May 2009

http://dee-zone.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Saturday, May 23, 2009. I've had a rather indulgent day today, bought myself a pair of new boots and outfit to go with them! Now I just need somewhere special to go. Stephen thought I looked slightly Russian, not sure if that meant he liked it or not! But the Russian look is in, isn't it? Http:/ www.slv.vic.gov.au/pdfs/cyl/reading matters07.pdf. The Shocking History of the Church. A Guide to Understanding the Revelation of Jesus Christ. In spite of claims by many groups that the prophetic visions in the Revelation of Jesus Christ have to do with a period of time just before God calls Time to an End, we believe that in the Revelation God foretold the history of the Visible Church so that His children would know what to be on the lookout for as history progressed. SHOCKING HOLY BIBLE PROPHECY

SHOCKING HOLY BIBLE PROPHECY. Monday, October 31, 2011. By: Jairus C. Cabuco. The number of years between the First World War and Second World War was perfectly prophesied in the New Testament of the Holy Bible. In Revelation 8:1, it says:. 8220;When the lamb broke the seventh seal on the scroll, there was silence throughout. Heaven for about half an hour.”. And in 2 Peter 3:8, it says:. 8220;Beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years,.
