http://flamingstones.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Black, White, and Wood. Sunday, December 18, 2005. Weakest part of my game. No matter how hard I try, how lightly I try, I always seem to fall behind in opening. Opening is difficult for me, because nothing is even set. Middle game is much easier, because more things are set. Somehow, I keep overexerting myself during the opening, and I have to learn how to hold back, but question is.how to hold back? One game, I was extremely behind in opening, but somehow.I got ahead just enough to win. 3 How settled b...

Black, White, and Wood.: July 2006

Black, White, and Wood. Monday, July 24, 2006. How to read, and how to make it stick. Man, reading is interesting for me now. Often, I found myself reading about 20-30 moves deep for many different situations, but however.when I'm done reading, I found myself unable to remember what is the best line, and what is the right candidate for what I'm reading. From what I can see, easiest part is reading. Hardest part is convincing yourself which line is best, and which line is safest. How to improve on this?

You're looking at it. And going dammnit. Blunder. A gigantic group just died. Only because of that small lapse of concentration. Anything could swing back. Apparently, I'm glad that I'm not alone, because Chang Hao, a professional player from China apparently have the same problem. He actually said in a r...

If you don't know ladders, don't play Go. September 16, 2009. The Zürich tournament is approaching rapidly and I’m not feeling all to confident in my abilities.
