Monday, November 09, 2009. Finally, with the cooling temperatures and nice breezes,. Ome life is returning after the lazy summer! This Saturday I got the energy to. Put decorative concrete edging bricks along the side of the garage to make the garden there a bit nicer. Note on the bottom right the huge rocks I had to dig up to install the silly thing! Hopefully, my neighbor will enjoy the view out her bedroom window a bit more now! So, was able to get the whole thing cut out, This is the completed set!

After about five years of buying the pattern, frame, glass saw, countless pieces of glass, foil, solder, flux, patina, glass polish, and a buffer head that fits on my drill, and playing dumb blonde at the hardware store to buy silicone adhesive,. IT IS FINALLY FINISHED! This, of course, was no easy task. Those of you wh. But, oh, once it did! It took my breath away!

The orange cardholder is composed of 31 individual pieces of glass, including a translucent orange with white wispy, and a clear red with dark red wispy, and a red gem "blob." It was a wonderful Christmas! I got some natural sock yarn and Jacquard Dyes! Also some "Foggy Bottom" Sock Yarn! Have been working mainly on the Lady Eleanor Shawl - Here's a picture of the progress! It is turning out really pretty! Can't get over how the colors all fit together and create a harlequin effect.

Finally finished with SSS - Second Sock Syndrome - and on to a brand new project, and a brand new sock! I love, love, LOVE this ". S0 far, it has three little lace hearts with cables on the left and right. Sock is a bit darker - flash seems to lighten up the color a bit, but overall, going to be a pretty sock.
