Journey to Hell and Back. Final Days Before Deployment. Fortunately, we have a strong relationship, strong faith, and a strong support system with friends, family, and church members. Having deployed previously, I know to just take it one day at a time and live week to week, but my wife hasn’t had the actual experience yet. Journey to Hell and Back. This weekend was my arrival at CRC at Ft Bliss. A new experience for me, and so far, a seemingly easy one. So far, we in-processed, got billets, sat through a few briefings, and completed a number of required online training courses. Tomorrow begins the “fun” stuff. We are scheduled to go through the SRP process; completing our medical, dental, finance, legal, and personnel. Then, we get to endure more briefings. It puts most malls to shame!
