Anna McKerrow - Poet and author of the Greenworld Young Adult trilogy. Tuesday, 23 December 2014. Writing tips 2: Keeping a writing journal. One of the best and most effective things I’ve ever done as a writer is keep a writing journal, and I recommend you start one immediately. Go and get one. This is your task. Find a book you enjoy looking at and writing in. Make keeping a writing journal your new year resolution. Your journal will be the place that you prowl, writing-wise. Where you write all of ...

Anna McKerrow - Poet and author of the Greenworld Young Adult trilogy. Friday, 13 December 2013. The materialities of digital poetics - an old essay from the MA days. I haven't written an academic essay for a few years now, and writing a lot of Young Adult fiction kind of rewires your brain in completely another way. In 2008 this is what I was thinking about. Quite frankly, I am both impressed at my own academic loquaciousness and utterly confused about what it all means. Using digital poetry as a medium...

Anna McKerrow - Poet and author of the Greenworld Young Adult trilogy. Wednesday, 9 July 2014. What is Regressive Poetics about? You enjoyed my radio show last night, talking about Regressive Poetics. With the smooth-voiced Ryan Ormonde. You weren't watching Germany decimate Brazil 7-1, right? Of course not. I found a...

Sunday, May 19, 2013. Hit a couple Galleries in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, NY this weekend with Joe Dinunzio. And thought I'd share some photos of the mural outside Bunny Cutlet. The gallery itself is probably smaller than the mural, but good things come in small packages, right? The exhibit titled, Chasing Rainbows, of Kelly Denato's. Work was pretty awesome. Her paintings have a very ethereal quality to them. I love the way she uses acrylics. We also checked out the Cotton Candy Machine.

My Brain In Pictures. Visual Journals and My Recovery from Brain Surgery. July 19, 2013. Flickr, Inspiration, & Envy. I love to look at Flickr and tumblr. My contacts there are wonderfully talented, and if I knew them well enough, I’d never stop telling them how their artwork is a constant source of inspiration for me. I learn from them and their art, and I’m grateful. Most of the time. I say that because, while I’m usually inspired, sometimes I’m just plain jealous:. You know what I mean. July 12, 2013.

Anna McKerrow - Poet and author of the Greenworld Young Adult trilogy. Friday, 26 July 2013. If I was going to be Dr McKerrow, this is how I would have got it. Here is/was the PhD outline I submitted in 2008, when I thought that was what I was going to be doing. I'd be Dr McKerrow by now (maybe), but instead I'm a wannabe teen author. How did that happen? Loss Pequeno Glazier, p49. People inhabiting all frequencies of the socioeconomic spectrum are intentionally reaching for some of the oldest navigation...
