Friday, September 28, 2012. Fiction Friday: The Peach Keeper. Happiness is a risk. If you're not a little scared, then you're not doing it right. (p238). Fate never promises to tell you everything up front. You aren't always shown the path in life you're supposed to take. But, if there was one thing she'd learned in the past few weeks, it was that sometimes, when you're really lucky, you meet someone with a map. (p242). Have a great weekend! Knit/Wit: April 2015
http://paknitwit.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Musings on what is on my knitting needles, on my wheel, and on my mind. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Tomorrow is the day I've been waiting for for a year - the day I leave for Maryland Sheep and Wool! There are still a bunch of last minute things to do: packing, picking out my knitting, getting the house in order, etc. Usually I worry about running out of knitting when I pack for a trip, but this is one where that will not be a problem! Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Pattern Release: Leventry Loop. Although this ...

Musings on what is on my knitting needles, on my wheel, and on my mind. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. All the Little Things. Tomorrow is July, which means it's officially time for me to do some baby knitting for two babies that are due in the coming month. I probably should have started earlier, but at least little things knit up quickly. On Sunday evening I cast on for the Boy Sweater. In Malabrigo Rios. By the time I put it down for the night, I'd nearly finished the raglan increases. Fast, right? Meanwhile,...

Lisa Kay Knits: Nanook
http://lisakayknits.blogspot.com/2015/03/nanook.html
Sunday, March 8, 2015. By Heidi Kirrmaier, a couple of weeks ago, and I have been waiting for a day with enough light to take pictures. I modified the pattern with the pattern edging at the bottom of the back and sleeves. ribbed in the pattern. Since the pattern edging, intended only for the collar of this top-down sweater, is directional (knitted starting at the edge, going inward), I had to work the cuff and hem first, and then graft to the sleeves and body. The yarn is Hedgehog Fibres. Ruby Slippers S...

Monday, January 19, 2015. For the new year, I took a project out of "hibernation" and finished it. "Elina" has been put away for about three years. I blogged its progress in January 2012. Lisa Kay Knits: Chris' Christmas Sweater
http://lisakayknits.blogspot.com/2014/12/chris-christmas-sweater.html
Friday, December 26, 2014. I wanted to make Chris another sweater for Christmas. I have only made him one, " Devon. Back in 2011. Chris likes the way that one fits (a bit over-sized), and so I used the same pattern. adjusted for a much smaller gauge and not including the cables. I also made the sleeves a bit shorter, so he wouldn't have to fold them back. I guess he likes it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Knitting, Yarn, and Fiber Resources.
