How to laugh in the face of it all: The sadism of sports day
http://gigglingatitall.blogspot.com/2010/07/sadism-of-sports-day.html
How to laugh in the face of it all. Thursday, 8 July 2010. The sadism of sports day. I am angry, very angry. I attended my primary school children's sports day today. I took along my pre-schooler and we packed a little picnic to make it a fun day for him. He remained there with nobody offering him a kind word or anything. The teachers and staff totally ignored his obvious distress. I was on the banking on the opposite side of the field and could see he was unhappy. I watched thinking that any...Then I wa...

Goosey World: August 2013
http://gooseyworld.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Three early summer films at the cinema. In the early summer I saw three of the season's biggest films. Marvel continue the adventures of Tony Stark (played by the always watchable Robert Downey, Jnr.) and his superhero alter-ego, in the first film post the mega event that was The Avengers. Also great to see Gwyenth Paltrow as the lovely Pepper Potts, who gets into a suit this time. I found the film very enjoyable, far better than the rather average Iron Man 2. Everyday to set mi...

http://gooseyworld.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 27, 2012. G'bye 2011, and hello to 2012. Just thought I would post a few lines to bring this blog into 2012. As for films, I enjoyed my cinema trips and DVD watching in '11 - my favourite blockbusters being either " Thor. Or " Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I think my most unusual cinema visit last year was to see the excellent " We Need to Talk About Kevin. And " Halloween H20. 1980-1989" DVD boxset, which I've watched a lot of so far and have thoroughly enjoyed! Great retro tv. :).

http://gooseyworld.blogspot.com/2013/03/some-winter-films.html
Sunday, March 10, 2013. Some films I've seen over the winter. I've not been to the cinema much (but I've seen a lot of stuff at home on disc. Instead, including the amazing Dredd.
