Cottage Nest - Crafting A Handmade Life: February 2015
http://www.cottagenest.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 26, 2015. We lucked out of the Southern snow ( and ice. So far this year, but slightly to the north it has been a tough week for our neighbors. And to no surprise, when the temperature dropped, all week we've had an influx of "snow birds" through the shop. All are super giddy, love everything, leave with nothing. Ho hum. On the other hand, online sales have been super and made up for our walk-ins with frozen wallets. Also, if you are a bird nerd like me, you will love this podcast.

Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Country Chic Ain't My Paint. For less than six months, I've been a retailer of Country Chic Paint, a paint similar to Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. It's been a gargantuan effort on my part to promote and move the brand and also use it and educate myself, for my customers. Unfortunately, Country Chic Paint changed the game, again. Dropped me from the store finder on the website. Buh. So retailers, here's what you need to know if you're considering carrying Country Chic Paint:. Also, u...

Cottage Nest - Crafting A Handmade Life: August 2015
http://www.cottagenest.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 6, 2015. Destination: Lafayette, LA. I fell off the blogging wagon again! Life with twins is tough, no matter how cute and sweet they are! To celebrate their 6 month birthday we visited Lafayette and New Iberia with the highlight being a chance to see Roseate Spoonbills. Who else takes 6 month olds birding? Our trip did inspire me to finish up a new design I've been kicking around. My Louisiana Home Sweet Home design is slowly finding its way on to t-shirts in the shop. And my online shop.

Tuesday, October 28, 2014. It's still a bit warm in Southern Louisiana, but mornings are becoming cooler and cooler. I made a scarf. Mom found 3 mohair skeins of a discontinued Lang Yarns colorway for next to nothing. Made use of all three with a slight modification to the pattern.I can't wait to wear it! And a little work work. Happened this weekend. I changed up the colors of my Pump Up the Jam Canning towel. Connect with me: website. Location: Ponchatoula, LA, USA. Friday, October 24, 2014. I think it...
