Saturday, April 11, 2009. This was our little hike over the backside of the Black Ridge to the Temple Quarry, where the early settlers cut huge 5000 pound blocks of lava to lay the foundation for the St George Temple. It was quite a feat those pioneers accomplished! And a good hike for the younger boys! Blake loved climbing the huge lava boulders and being king of the mountain. Keanan was quite the acrobat too!
