A week ago at the park and ride lot, I got to hear my first cardinal song for this year, and I've heard him a couple times since. I always find it wonderful, especially when it's super cold and snow everywhere, that he still knows the spring is coming. Very much enjoyed the pecan pie and the delicious apple bread won't last long. Thanks so much!

Also making a nice cool batch of emerald soup to enjoy during what appears to be a blessedly short heat wave. And air conditioning! Done, done, done, and only two passes left!

I had a revelation about growing morning glories last year (it took me long enough! A nice evening on Tuesday having dinner at the Towners- also got to show them my trip photos. We had a busy day packing and I finally had all the tired, super excited kids tucked in bed, when the power went out! Sadly it never came on before we left the next morning.
