Uncommon Scents: Game 3
http://uncommonscents.blogspot.com/2013/01/game-3.html
Sniffing out the absurdities of life on the big blue ball. Saturday, January 26, 2013. We lost both games one and two. Last game is against the host team. I think we've done okay for a 'B' team in a tournament of schools with no 'B' teams. It's also cool that our boys pray before the game. They're learning good thing besides just basketball. Uncommon Scents: Dropping the Dish
http://uncommonscents.blogspot.com/2012/08/dropping-dish_10.html
Sniffing out the absurdities of life on the big blue ball. Friday, August 10, 2012. I'm seriously thinking about stopping my satellite service. I've been a fan of Dish Network since digital satellite television supplied through the 18" dish antenna first became available (wow I'm old). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sniffing out the absurdities of life on the big blue ball. Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Today is National Pancake Day and the International House of Pancakes (wasn't it Seinfeld who found the humor in their name? Is giving away free pancakes! In exchange for the pancakes, they ask that you make a charitable donation. Look for other food vendors to offer free food for charity in the future according to the article on TIME's web site. Friday, February 24, 2012. Regardless, it's funny. There are others I kno...

Uncommon Scents: It's Been Such A Long Time
http://uncommonscents.blogspot.com/2013/01/it-been-such-long-time.html
Sniffing out the absurdities of life on the big blue ball. Saturday, January 26, 2013. Its Been Such A Long Time. Something changed with our web filtering service at school so that I can barely read blogs anymore, much less post to one. So I haven't posted anything for a while. I'm at a Junior High basketball tournament all day today and more than slightly bores between games. Blog surfing on my smartphone led me to try the Blogger app, and here I am posting again. Sniffing out the absurdities of life on the big blue ball. Wednesday, February 6, 2013. I'm at my 6th TCEA Convention this week. It's always nice to gather with several thousand other edugeeks and make fun of all the technological ineptitude in the teaching world. Here are some things that I already knew, but needed to be reminded:. 2 The teacher, not the technology, needs to be the focus of change. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Uncommon Scents: June 2012
http://uncommonscents.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Sniffing out the absurdities of life on the big blue ball. Wednesday, June 27, 2012. I've had phone calls recently from phone-a-friends looking for computer help; specifically, email help. It seems they received emails asking them to verify their passwords, and one click plus a few keystrokes later, their email accounts were sending messages to everyone they had ever contacted saying that they were needing money. You account passwords are as sensitive as your bank account numbers. Literally. I'm not a bi...

Uncommon Scents: July 2012

Sniffing out the absurdities of life on the big blue ball. Tuesday, July 31, 2012. This picture has been on the social networks today. Great parenting. I think I will start instituting a similar policy at the uncommon house. You would think only Japan and Germany would be competing against us and every one else would just let us win. Uncommon Scents: RAIN
http://uncommonscents.blogspot.com/2012/08/rain.html
Sniffing out the absurdities of life on the big blue ball. Tuesday, August 14, 2012. This looks like it's going to be a good soaking rain. I knew it would get here, I just didn't know when. The sentence in the middle comes to mind when drought turns to rain, but the whole paragraph is so good I that I had to include it all:. 8220;You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! If you are kind only to your friends,.

Uncommon Scents: March 2013
http://uncommonscents.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Sniffing out the absurdities of life on the big blue ball. Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Art students learn perspective early in their studies. They are taught to sketch, paint, or draw the same object free m many different angles, in different lighting, with different backgrounds. This allows them to completely 'see' the object of their art. Sculptors must have this ability it they would never be able ti complete a work. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
