The museum is made up of two buildings, containing sixteen different and unique rooms. Click on a room to learn more about it*. Room #1: Show Low Room. The town named by a turn of a card. Marion Clark and Corydon (often misspelled Croydon) Cooley are believed to have been the earliest non-Indian settlers in Show Low. There are several versions of how Show Low got its name in those early days, the most popular is the following:. Thus a legend began. Established in 1995 by five people: Joe Woolford, Jackie Solomon, Dr. Albert Armstrong, Louis Rawlings and Jo Ann Hatch. Some are descendents of the original Mormon families who started Show Low. One day the five Mormon residents realized they had quite the collection of old stuff. Needing a place to keep all of their unique items safe, they decided together to find a place to keep it.
