Except that there was one pesky problemhe and the elders of other Sudanese tribes were harassed by a rally of Sudanese people in DC. Who all but threw rocks at them. No really, Sudanese people were harassing their own tribal leaders who belong to ALL sorts of political parties, including being declared opposition. The question is, what has this rally achieved? What was the point?

This is a very interesting and informative video by Al-Arabiya news channel about the history of the Sudanese turban, or ‘Al 3imma’ as it is colloquially known in Sudan. The video explores the different ways different Sudanese men wear it, and why they chose to wear it that way. This video is in Arabic and unfortunately does not have subtitles. الاثنين، 10 ديسمبر، 2007. الاخوة الأعضاء السلام عليكم. قرأت عن تصميم شعار للرابطة وها هو مقترحي لكم. سعيد جدا بهذه المبادرة لإنشاء رابطة وخصوصا ان الاقبال على التدوين من قبلنا ضعيف جدا وهو مايبعث على الدهشة و الحيرة في حين لو زرت موقع الهاي فايف تجد ان المشتركين من دولة السودان اكثر عددية في كل البلدان المتبقية ، بخصوص الشعار رائع واتمنى لك المزيد من التقدم. 11 ديسمبر، 2007 1:19 م. شكرا على الاقتراح والمجهود في تصميم الشعار. و أقترح فيما يخص (شعارك) المقترح ان يتم تغيير العبارة (منبر حرية الرأي) الى.
