Wednesday, December 5, 2012. 米国、ミネアポリスの中心に、製粉所廃墟"Minneapolis Mill Ruins Park"というものがある。これは、ミネアポリスという都市がミシシッピ川沿いの製粉所に始まったことの名残であり、今では、その廃墟が公園となっている。実物を見て描くのと、写真を見て描くのは、やはり違う。その場にいると、そのモノの存在を、感じる。僕は、物体を感じて、描きたかったのだ。雲が移動し、太陽が移動し、光線が変化し、空気の流れが刻々と変化した。室内でしばらく描いた後では、そんなことが、とても大きな変化として感じられる。錆びた鋼鉄の重みをその場にいると感じる。「座屈した鋼鉄支柱２」で、室内に撤退していた時も、その重みを僕は、感じていた。 Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Saturday, October 27, 2012. 米国ミネアポリス、Gallery 13 にて個展を開催中！　その所感. 現在、米国ミネアポリスにて、個展を開催中である。僕にとって一番うれいしいのは、いままでなんの面識もなかった人々と内容の濃い会話ができたことだ。こんな機会に恵まれたのは、今回が初めてだ。いままで、ミネソタでグループ展を何回もやってきたが、今回の個展ほど、内容のある会話というのはなかった。僕の絵だけを目的にわざわざ画廊にまできてくれて、それについて、熱心に僕と話しをしてくれる人々がおり、そういう人々との会話というのは、僕にとって、生まれて初めてことだ。今回の個展は、違っている。助成金を出してくれた、ミネソタ州メトロポリタンアートカウンシルと、今回の個展を企画し,実行してくれているGallery13に感謝である。 Wednesday, October 3, 2012.
