They love Christmas but they could celebrate Halloween everyday! Christmas you get presents. Halloween you get candy (better than presents) AND you get to dress up and go to school! Here are few pre-Halloween photos - - pumpkin carving, of course! I've also posted some additional fall photos here.

Portfolios are celebrated at their school where the whole school does special projects, watches movies, and eats "fun" food. We also celebrate the kids work and they get a special treat. It's a great way to get grades and see what the kids are learning. November is also a time to celebrate Brad's birthday! We had a busy morning on the 16th and the kids had fun wrapping various items from their rooms to give their dad!

Sunday, July 14, 2013. Trip to D.C. and Niagara Falls. We had to double time it from Nebraska but we got to DC on schedule. DC has some lovely sidewalk gardens situated between some buildings. We took in some of the fantastic museums. A view of the capitol dome from the botanical gardens. Doug and Uncle Edgar. Learning about the water cycle at Niagara. The Maid of the Mists took us into the mists. The camera could not go much farther on the board walk that allowed us to feel the power of the falls.

Thursday, December 26, 2013. We limited ourselves to three tries of a photo. Way too early on the first attempt. I used a 10s timer on the camera. In truth, it's the cat that's doing the bombing. Not bad but the lighting makes it look like a phantom bomber. Again, way too early. I was landing on the footstool which gave an unnatural cracking sound upon impact. Monday, December 23, 2013.
