http://teamclapotis.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
A group of folks dedicated to the completion of a clapotis. As a part of the 2006 knitting olympics. A project over 2500 knitters strong started by stephanie pearl-mcphee over at yarn harlot. Thursday, March 16, 2006. Better late than never. At long last, my clapotis is blocked. It was my first blocking experience and now I want to block everything. I'm glad the clapotis expedition is over, I have to say, and I hope the person I give it to really enjoys it. Here's the pre-blocking pic:. I didn't block my...

Saturday, July 01, 2006. This is the Komi hat from Charlene Schurch’s book, Hat’s On - - made with a wonderful one-of-a-kind skein of yarn a good friend spun and dyed, mostly with Kool Aid. I made the three little tassels on top by fingerloop braiding. You can learn more than you would ever want to know about fingerloop braiding at http:/ www.stringpage.com. Saturday, November 05, 2005. Last days of fall. The trees were so lovely at dawn. I could just see the mist rising over the valley. The adult sheep will soon give up their pastures for the protection of the barn. The Finnsheep lambs born the end of September got their vaccinations and their ears tattooed. The green ink is still there. Four of the lambs belong to the ewe in the photo. She had three lambs in the spring and raised them all by herself. Posted by finnsheep at 4:49 PM. Saturday, April 15, 2006. FLAK Aran sweater finished! This is my finished sweater from the FLAK Janet Szabo’s wonderful Aran knit along. I haven’t blocked it yet and may decide to change the bottom border if it keeps curling up. The bottom was about 8 rows of stockinette with the final row consisting of twisting each set of four stitches 360 degrees which created a scallop effect. I used a crochet bind off. Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Roses before all the rain. We have around 28 different roses: wild or species roses, old roses (some of which date to the Renaissance) and the rest are mostly Canadian super hardy roses. Although it hasn’t happened in the past few years, the temperature can get down to 25 below zero. Behind the feverfew, the Apothecary rose is in the foreground, Nearly Wild behind that and a nameless very old rose in the back. Posted by finnsheep at 6:10 AM. Sunday, June 18, 2006. Wednesday, August 09, 2006. More hats and flowers. August- - and I have been thinking of cooler weather - - enviously! The hats are either from patterns in Charlene Schurch's book Hat's On or inspired by that book. The black eyed susans look great in the garden. This is the part of the garden where there are fewer weeds. The weeds have been doing very well this year. Posted by finnsheep at 10:37 AM. Lords Valley, Poconos, Pennsylvania.
