The Mr. and I have this feeling that if we don't see the ball drop at Times Square this new year, we'll never do it. I have a great long term friend who lives in NYC and so it's do or die this year as far as checking this experience off the list. Welcome to Our Blog! Saturday, August 13, 2011. Getting Ready for Baby. Our friends and family have been very supportive of our upcoming new family member. And we want to thank everyone who has sent us prayers, well wishes, and baby gear. We want to say here that we still intend to adopt an infant. We pulled our profile from the active list back in April, but we will go back on the active list in Jan 2012. Our family plan is in place! So, keep in touch. We'll try to do an update near the holidays.

Welcome to Our Blog! Sunday, June 19, 2011. Boy-o-boy, what we wouldn't give for some rain right about now! To date, this has been one of the driest and hottest summers and it's only June! The good news here is that we don't have much lawn to water, so things haven't died on us yet. Bad news is that we have cabin fever because we seem to hide inside all the time to get in front of the air conditioning as much as we can. Our lives are filled with parties (Mardi Gras), weddings, baby showers, family visits and trips to the Hill Country. A friend is staying with us in our main house until she gets her housing situation resolved and its nice to have her stay with us (also, Rosie likes having another person give her attention). Welcome to Our Blog! Tuesday, April 21, 2009. Well, we did it. We bought a fixer-upper in the Hill Country. The Mr. and I couldn't be more excited or more nervous :). We wanted to take advantage of low housing prices and even lower interest rates. Originally, we were going to "upgrade" our main house, but that didn't work out since the real estate market didn't support the price we wanted. So, instead of owning one big house, we decided to try out two smaller houses. Now we are just waiting for the metal...
