Peñíscola in the past. I was lucky enough to find these images recently, please excuse quality of some of the photos. Note that there are not as many houses crammed within the Casco as there are today, not all are painted white as is the fashion today. Now a much refurbished. This photo would be taken just after the harbour wall was built in the 1920s. Note the boats are still under sail power, with perhaps some help from marine motors. Before Lonja again, note absence of buildings at entrance to Casco.

Maize and Fetta fritters with wasabi mayonnaise. December 21st, 2009. I usually duplicate the formula because it is really popular dish with my house. They are good hot or cold. You can apply transcribed or fresh maize. 1 cup of maize kernals. 1 cup of self raising flour. Salt and pepper to savor. 1/2 cup of fetta ( crumbed into mixture ). 1/4 - 1/2 soda H2O to do batsman. Olive oil for frying. Dill ( fresh or dried ) to savour ( optional ). I advocate doing the wasabi mayonnaise foremost ( see below ).
