This LCD display gives important information to locals in a French town. LCD displays come into their own when a low power information display is required. The LCD is backlit using a fluorescent tube for night time viewing, but during the day the display is still visible due to the reflective properties of the filter material. LCD and VFD displays have been extensively used in cinemas in France. The available character height is from 5 cm to 16 cm thus allowing placement in small rooms to large halls.

Above is a seven line sixteen character display made with 50 mm character height modules. On the PC is available in both Windows and DOS format. The Windows software has a WYSIWYG user interface so that you know what the sign will look like when the message is sent to it. All of the multiline displays that Signblazer Ltd. manufacture in LED, VFD. Technologies use the same communications protocol so there is no reason why the different technologies cannot be mixed on the same cabling. Over 100 page storage.

We have a new addition to our range of VFD signs. A new case for the popular 7 line 16 character display which can be either desk or wall mounted. This replaces the now discontinued Welcome display as shown further down this page. Currently available in blue with a grey back to the case. This is the Welcome VFD. The display unit is the same as the Totem VFD but it is presented in a neat desktop case.

After the release of Windows XP there are new versions of Unisign, for multiline displays, and the scrolling sign software. The updates only affect the visual appearance of the software.
