Wednesday, 29 August 2012. It's been a while, and I have been sent to the naughty corner by myself for being a bad bad blogger. But you know, sometimes life gets in the way of blogging. Today I am super grateful that I was lucky enough to win this adorably awesome toadstool from the lovely Lori at Hippywitch crafts. In the meantime, I hope you are all well and happy and enjoying life. Glad you are bac...

October 2014 - Reflections and Nature
http://reflectionsandnature.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Soft Layers of Blue. The sky, the mountains and the water. Merge together to give a feeling of peace and inner quiet. A little rowing boat keeping its reflection company. And bringing in tones of aqua. Take on a delicate shade of violet. Three little moorhens glide by. On the smooth surface of the water. Creates gently undulating ripples. Sailing boats sail back and forth with gracefulness. And reflections reach out to me. And pull me into the scene. Whose summit is covered in snow the whole year round.

January 2015 - Reflections and Nature
http://reflectionsandnature.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Still Life in photography. Is similar to still life in paintings. Some preparation is needed to make the arrangement. Pleasing to the eye. It is preferable to keep the background uncluttered. And the colours harmonious. To give the subject room to breathe. And remembering the rule of thirds give balance. To these types of compositions. Contrast in textures brings in an extra dimension. I think this is my favourite capture, I have such a fondness for marbles, both the. Look and the feel of them. What's yo...

Grateful 4 Crochet: Blanket Ta-Dah, a Half Marathon, and some penguins and polar bears
http://gratefulcrochet.blogspot.com/2012/07/blanket-ta-dah-half-marathon-and-some.html
Sunday, 15 July 2012. Blanket Ta-Dah, a Half Marathon, and some penguins and polar bears. Hello there. Today's post title makes me think of being in an episode of Lost. Hopefully, this post will not be as convoluted as a Lost storyline. I actually loved Lost! I have a lot to fit in, due to my fairly sporadic recent posting. So, to begin. I finished my nemesis blanket. Finally! Here it is in its home on the lounge. Anyway, as you can see, I took ridiculous amounts of photos. The good news is that it e...

Grateful 4 Crochet: A bit of this and a bit of that
http://gratefulcrochet.blogspot.com/2012/06/bit-of-this-and-bit-of-that.html
Wednesday, 20 June 2012. A bit of this and a bit of that. I hope you're all well, and happy. I thought I would start this post with some flowers, the above ones I saw on a recent run, and the below ones were sent to me. This week, the youngest daughter and I have been having fun. We went on this. And looked out and saw this. And manouevered our way around this giant sticky maze. It was a giant maze, made of sticky tape, and you were given strips of paper as you entered, to add to the maze. I started thin...

Grateful 4 Crochet: Zen and the Art of Crochet
http://gratefulcrochet.blogspot.com/2012/09/zen-and-art-of-crochet.html
Sunday, 16 September 2012. Zen and the Art of Crochet. I've been reading a few things lately about zen and running, including this book. They have got me interested in the the whole concept of zen, and how it relates to crochet, and other crafts. Clearly many people far more qualified than I can give you an explanation on what zen is, but for me zen is being in the moment, noticing, and appreciating that moment. So how do crochet and zen connect? But one of the things I love about crochet, is how it make...
