Tuesday, March 12, 2013. I don't know why but both Philip and I got emotional just as they were starting. I think we were both nervous and wondered if we were crazy having another baby with a busy toddler running around. Plus this time the gender was a surprise. Friday, June 21, 2013. Melissa's Veggie Garden Part 1. First up is a pepper plant. I bought seedlings and hope it works well in this pot. Rosemary, parsley, chives, and oregano. Growing great. In between the grassy bushes I planted butternut squash and peter pan squash. I will be training it to grow up the fencing I put up that is not shown in this picture. These are carrots that also have survived and thrived quite well after being attacked by Brayden. In this pot I have planted beet seeds. Brayden stan...

Friday, January 13, 2012. Philip celebrated his 31st birthday on the 10th. He prefers pie over cake, so I made peach pie which is his favorite. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. We got everything ready right before bath time. I tried to just trim it and let it be a longer cut, but Phil didn't like it so he took the clippers and buzzed the poor kid. Thursday, June 21, 2012. June the Birthday Month! Summer was so excited for her birthday. She wanted a spa party so we planned it all out and she picked out the colors and the way she wanted her cake/cupcakes. This is what she chose and I was glad because it looks cute, but it was the easiest birthday cake I've ever made. I think we will be doing more cupcake bouquets in the future. Monday, July 15, 2013. Melissa's Garden Part 2. OK, so as expected from me I didn't update as soon as I thought. However, I still want to update with the garden I am trying out. These pictures below were taken on July 11, 2013. Unfortunately my cabbage, and brussels sprouts have almost reached the end of their immature life. The slugs and other pests are eating it like crazy. I'm annoyed because it was so nice looking and then all of a sudden it looked like this. Butternut squash, and patty pan squash.
