Heirlooms in the Making. DOES THE CHILD HAVE TO SIT STILL? No, it is not necessary. The child sits on the mother's lap, while my assistant distracts the child with a book or toy. HOW OLD DOES THE CHILD HAVE TO BE? The child needs to be able to hold his/her head up. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? 2 minutes to cut the silhouette; 10 minutes for the whole transaction. HOW SHOULD I DRESS THE CHILD? In a low neckline like a T-SHIRT or leotard top, in order to be able to see the neck and hairline.
