A Society of Senior Members of Silloth on Solway Golf Club. Thursday, 13 August 2015. Only thirteen attended in today's good conditions and the majority of scores were below par but Jim Gilfillan's excellent 44 points cost him seven shots and an equally impressive 40 points by Brian Taylor was worth £5.20 at a cost of four shots. Commonwealth War Graves, Causeway Head, Silloth Cumbria. This site is dedicated to these servicemen ( Most from RAF Silloth) who paid the ultimate price during WW2 in Cumberland. I have visited the Commonwealth War Grave site at Causeway Head Silloth, since 1949, on each visit I have come away feeling both sad and inspired by these men who took up arms. to help our small Island, in its fight for freedom.
