Monday, June 2, 2014. The second day in a row started with a minor bit of maintenance, a GPS mounting screw and a dead battery in my electronic key fob. Both times I thought, "Hey, I have to get to that tomorrow." Both times the bike made it clear that tomorrow would not do. I have used my bike's meager tool kit and my trusty 1970's Buck knife. Thursday, June 5, 2014. Someday we will leave California and we are determined to live in an younger urban area. It must have trees, seasons, and the occasional thunder and lighting storm. Denver is on a very. Short list, especially with people from both sides of our family living in Colorado. A 'Denver Brick', the common smallish two-bedroom houses here, would be plenty of room for the two of us. Eventually I had seen enough, stopped for an ice cream at the legendary Liks on thirteenth.

Saturday, June 7, 2014. Chatted with Mom and then headed out on a mountain route north to Greeley. Storm clouds were brewing. The boomers were forming up Clear Creek, but I was heading north up Coal Creek Canyon.
