Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Picked this up a DI for $1.50, one of the reasons I love thrift stores! It's pretty ornate and didn't need much, just a new coat of paint. One of my new favorite spray paints is Rust-oleum metallic. For this project I used black. I started out wanting to just paint the wood frame around the metal design, but I ended up spraying the entire piece. I wanted to get rid of the rust. I love the finish the paint gave it and didn't need to add another coat to seal it. And I love sharing.
