Notes from the Caminho Português. Archive for April, 2012. On April 16, 2012 Leave a Comment. This afternoon I took a long walk as practice for the Camino. I also tried using my original insoles in my hiking shoes instead of the (not so) Superfeet insoles. With a probable blister on the ball of my right foot, I think I’ll go back to the Superfeet. They don’t offer much cushioning but at least they keep my feet from sliding around in my shoes. Uphill out of the driveway. I hope Portugal is more scenic!

What a nice surprise it was today to log into my computer and find all of the comments people made to my posts. For various reasons I couldn’t see them until I got into the blog with my computer rather than with my iPhone. Since there are so many foreign tourists, frequently the menus have pictures. Here’s where I bought my daily banana. Dogs were everywhere …. The Lab at my hotel. Notes from the Caminho Português. Laquo; Boat Trip. May 24, 2012 by silvairebird. When I first got to Porto, I assumed that the particular kind of cobblestone I saw there was local, but I found they were everywhere. In Porto I saw two colors, a dark gray and a light cream, which I mistakenly thought were painted white. I learned that the stones are mined somewhere in central Portugal. Bij de één werk ik aan de illustraties en bij de ander aan het verhaal zelf, want anders wordt het een warboel. Wordt als eerste onder handen genomen met de illustraties.
