National Garden Scheme Open Garden Event. 01 August 2015 and 02 August 2015. Cream tea’s and refreshments provided by volunteers from Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre available with all proceeds going towards providing a residential break for less fortunate children from the Derbyshire area. There will be a range of plants for sale and refreshments also available for purchase with gardening help and advice also at hand. My daughter Bryony went to the Centre earlier this year and returned full of joy and enthusiasm. She was talking non-stop and has already said that when she gets older she would like to do her work experience there. It has made a big impression on her life which I hope will stay with her forever. I am so grateful for everything they do with the children and for how understanding they are. Bryony loves them all and looks up to them all. The names of the children have been changed to protect their identity.
