Baking is my Zen. Sweet nibbles for the soul. Thursday, August 18, 2011. A Heavenly Visit Italian Cream Cake. Did you ever eat something that was so delicious that you felt like you died and went to heaven. This was one of those times for me. You see, whenever I read a cake recipe that calls for whipped egg whites. Folded into the batter, I KNOW it’s going to be a good recipe. Why? Next time, I’ll add a tad more frosting between the layers. As for the frosting, it is good practice to make it ve...GOOD NE...

Peanut Butter & Jelly: Quitting
http://peanutbutterandjellyblog.blogspot.com/2011/07/lance-armstrong-once-said-pain-is.html
Peanut Butter and Jelly. Life is Sticky. Life is Sweet. Life is Sticky. Life is Sweet. Sunday, July 10, 2011. Lance Armstrong once said: "Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.". As for myself, I'm done with running for now. It's been decided. And putting it down here makes it somewhat official. I've been running pretty regularly for the last three years. I've completed over 30 5 k's. So what came of all this? I'd get from friends and acquaintances. The workouts themselves are about a half-hour- far ...

Antiquated Abby: The final reveal!
http://yourvoicenumbsme.blogspot.com/2012/02/final-reveal.html
I intend to post pictures of things I've made and sometimes, if I have time, I'll even write descriptions/how-I-made-its. Enjoy! Saturday, February 11, 2012. And I decided that we needed a kitchen island. After scouring the internet, we realized that the size we wanted was going to be way too expensive. So! We put some roof racks on my 1990 Toyota Camry, (yah, that's right! Then, taking the pieces of the pallets and a sheet of thin mdf covered in chalkboard paint, we put the two sides on. We also put on ...

http://manhattan-my-hometown.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 18, 2014. I know this is late, but I've been waiting for some new studio equipment! For my birthday I got a backdrop support, soft box with stand, and some backdrops. I'm still practicing and figuring things out, but I think it's going to be fun. I tried to do this photo-shoot by myself again and it was totally a disaster. Cohen is just moving everywhere! I can't stop him! You would think I'd learn not to do the photo-shoots by myself. Cohen at 10 Months. Crying for Daddy :). Posted b...

http://momma-pajama.blogspot.com/2010/06/seattle-slugfest-2010.html
Thursday, June 10, 2010. It has been a tough spring, SO wet and cool. We had TORRENTIAL rain yesterday evening for a spell.sigh. I have also had to do some replanting - the beans are either drowning or else the healthy, thriving crop of SLUGS is eating them before I can find them! The foxgloves are coming out now though - summer hope! I already have it netted. I hear the birds attack as soon as the color shows! My very first snap pea blossom! The variety is Packman. I wonder if it's the lack of sun?
