Princess of Bob: October 2010
http://silverstah.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 16, 2010. First off - no, I'm not pregnant. I just like knitting baby stuff - it's small, easy to carry around, and I hope that someday I'll actually be able to use it. ;). Basic soakers / diaper covers - I like to use Cyntergomes' Wool baby soaker pattern. It seems failry popular, and goes together nicely. Community.livejournal.com/punk knitters/110889.html. Done in Quatro 220, with handspun for the stripes. Longies - which are baby butt covers, with legs! Lastly, baby hat! It ended up...

Sunday, November 29, 2009. This Christmas, think small! As the holidays draw nearer, I know many folks are doing some serious shopping for their friends and loved ones. I know the economy has been tough on us all - so this is what *I* am pledging to do this holiday season, and encourage you to incorporate some of these ideas into your gift giving. 1) Support your small businesses! I can't repeat this enough: support your small businesses! Hand-twisted, wire wrap jewelry. Amazing pewter and silver reprodu...

Find katerina - where she is. what's she's up to. Saturday, August 1, 2009. I've been trying to get some much-needed knitting done lately, and all I've really ended up with, is more UFO's. But they're closer to completion than the ones that have been hanging out in my sidebar for forever. I started with the baby sweater I've been working on for a while. I really enjoy knitting with the Elizabeth Lavold. And here's what it'll look like finished:. From the blog Lazy Knits and Purls. Which I'm a little scar...

Thursday, February 25, 2010. Originally uploaded by silverstah. Yes, and." is - I've been told - one of the key, core, fundamental concepts of improv comedy. You're supposed to accept your scene partner's reality and embiggen it , creating a vast wealth of ideas and concepts to build a good, solid scene. At least that's the theory. I can't say I'm very good at it - hence, writing it on my hand. ;). Links to this post. Sunday, February 14, 2010. Himself, in the snow. Himself, in the snow. Healthy living, ...

Princess of Bob: April 2011
http://silverstah.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 26, 2011. How do you DO that? Every once in a while, I get an email from someone asking where I get the patterns for my historic costume pieces. For the longest time I had to tell them that I drafted them myself, and that patterns based off of historic shapes simply didn't exist. However. Has been publishing a plethora of historic patterns - from the Medieval era through the mid 20th century. There's stuff there that the 'Big 3' has NEVER touched - like the 1490's Gown. Princess of Bob: Elizabethan Coif Project
http://silverstah.blogspot.com/2011/04/elizabethan-coif-project.html
Saturday, April 09, 2011. School has been kicking my butt this semester - so instead of having something big in the works, I decided I needed a small, portable project that I could pick up and put down at a moment's notice. I've been wanting to work on my embroidery skills, as well. so I decided to drag out the Elizabethan coif pattern I had purchased a number of years ago. The pattern was redacted by Laura Mellin. And sold through Reconstructing History. I'm using Splendor 12-ply Silk Embroidery Floss.

Monday, May 31, 2010. I know that Memorial Day is for our fallen heroes - and I honor and respect their sacrifice. But every Memorial Day I think of my dad, who served in the Air Force and did a tour in Vietnam. He then came home, married my mom, and has since been a strong leader and role model for our family. So - thanks, Dad, for everything. Links to this post. Sunday, May 09, 2010. King Henrys Faire - May 2010. King Henry's Faire - May 2010. Originally uploaded by silverstah. Himself and me at King H...
