Making sheet metal parts with minimal tools. This is by no means meant to be the definitive guide to sheet metalwork, it is just a low cost option I use to make parts for the Spitfire project I am currently working on. I live in Boston, US with my wife and 8 year old son. I m a mechanical engineer. I do pharmaceutical process stuff, clean rooms and production mechanical equipment. The Bricklayer handle is from the 12 years I spent as a mason before going back to finish college.

Parts made so far to furnish the cockpit include. Seat frame and pilot's seat which can be adjusted for seat height. Work has begun on some of the other items required for the cockpit. The elevator trim wheel. Early construction of the compass mount. The flap control valve is spring loaded and will be fitted with a push rod that operates a micro switch interfaced with the filght sim data. Compass correction card holder. The completed chassis control unit. Pilots B/P windscreen frame.

The rudder and control column support framework is almost complete.This will allow construction of the fuselage to begin in the next couple of weeks.
