As of today, I am 3O weeks pregnant with my third child. for some reason I seem to get worn out much easier this go round. physically and emotionally. must have something with the other two little ones I chase around! Journal of a Stay at Home Mom. Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary. Tuesday, August 23, 2011. I'm really trying hard to keep the positive things in the forefront of my mind. Of course, I've had a few "breakdowns", but all in all I've stayed positive. It's going to be a fun. BIG adventure for our family. There is so much to do in the Kansas City area. We're going to be little country fish in a big city pond. Ha! I guess I better get better at writing and keeping this blog updated. I'll try.

Sunday, January 2, 2011. No more black eyed peas on New Years Day for us. It's Shrimp and Grits instead - and I'm SO glad. 4 cups of chicken broth. 1/2 cup whipping cream (you can use milk too). 1 cup quick cooking grits. 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated. 1/2 onion, chopped. 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced. 1 green bell pepper, chopped. 1 can diced tomatoes. 1/4 cup white cooking wine. 1/2 pound smoked kielbasa sausage, sliced. 2 pounds uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined. Chopped chives for garnish.
