The Brownies: February 2010
http://claynsuni.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 22, 2010. In January, the Fromes informed us that they would be moving to Hawaii in two weeks. We were thrilled for them and sad for us that they were leaving. We had one last bash together as friends. Clay loved having an excuse to wear one of his hawaiian shirts. :) We had a good time and are even happier now knowing the Fromes are coming home! Now we just have to talk them into moving to Seattle. ;). Cute, Jess. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Thursday, February 24, 2011. Furthermore, I am eternally grateful for the extreme blessings that I've received since this time. I look back and am comfortable with the trials that I've been given. Although I miss Kenny, I have been blessed with another amazing husband! Not many gals get to say that! I love you James, so very much. Thank you for caring for me. Thank you for holding me during my "moments." Thank you for wanting to be a part of my past, present and future. Kenny, I love you too! Rich and Je...

Team Tibbitts: Parenting. . .
http://teamtibbi.blogspot.com/2011/03/parenting.html
Thursday, March 10, 2011. Parenting. . . Well folks, this has been quite a long week! James and I, myself in particular, are really learning how to be parents. James has been a pro at this since day one. I think I doubt myself too much. I'm sure I'm a good parent, I just haven't experienced life like this yet. Anyway, by Saturday night, life had turned from super cute to almost nightmare-ish. Haden came down with a fever of 104 around 7:30 pm. Bring on the TYLENOL! It was back already! Poor kid was just ...

a minority report: July 2012
http://cdraney.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 31, 2012. When I was 10, I got a cap pistol and holster set for my birthday. I think my Mom might have a picture. I can see myself in an old Polaroid, with a silly, delighted grin on my face. More than any birthday present from my youth, that pistol set was exactly. What I wanted. I was very excited and I remember it with fondness. Not a flying toy. and not my. Pistol set. I found this picture online.). So which was your favorite birthday? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). a minority report: "Notice the good"
http://cdraney.blogspot.com/2014/03/notice-good.html
Tuesday, March 11, 2014. I don't feel like I've ever been very good at speaking to them on their level and in the terms that make sense to them. As a result, I've probably talked (or yelled) AT them far more than I've communicated with. It all makes me rather sad some days. And yet. I happen to believe that there is grace enough (and to spare) for parents who are willing to try and keep trying. So I keep trying. What do you do to build your children up? How do you help them move along toward worthy goals?
