PJ BARTELS, JANNES VAN USSEL and TOM DE BUYSER. December 23, 2013. Last friday (december 19) was the final mume13 session. This post is meant to finish the course for our group. You can found the final visualization operational right here. And still on the dev page. All code and data (JSONs) needed to run it locally is available as a zip, right here. This zip contains all versions, from 0.1 to 3.0. The file called ‘VisualizationV3 0 final.html’ is the final version. Grading the other groups. In our eyes ...

PJ BARTELS, JANNES VAN USSEL and TOM DE BUYSER. Since we are developing our visualization, we decided to make a new page on this blog containing a link to our latest “release”. We’ll update this page whenever we have made progression worth showing. Feedback is always appreciated! 🙂 If you want to see some things improved or have ideas for future additions, leave a reply! We’ve added coaches to the visualization, for a limited number of teams. Find the latest version right here. Not much, probably 🙂.

PJ BARTELS, JANNES VAN USSEL and TOM DE BUYSER. November 27, 2013. Visualisation version 2.2. In class, we were asked to work at a ‘gamma’ version of our visualisation. We investigated some work in adding tooltips to show the team name when hovering on the team logos. More information can be found at our development page. Or use this short link to the gamma version. Do you like the added tooltip-box? November 26, 2013. Following up on the post reviewing the paper by Lam et al. Since we don’t really...

PJ BARTELS, JANNES VAN USSEL and TOM DE BUYSER. Daily Archives: December 12, 2013. December 12, 2013. As we stated in class a couple of times, we were still looking to add some features/information to our visualization. So, in the last week, we’ve added something new. You can find the newest version right here. Or on the dev page. If you hover over a dot, you see the names of the coaches (both going out and coming in):. What do you think about this addition? December 12, 2013. Add version 3.0. We know th...

PJ BARTELS, JANNES VAN USSEL and TOM DE BUYSER. December 12, 2013. Given the feedback we’ve got from prof. Duval last week, we updated and expanded our paper. Find the new version right here. Some things we know we still need to do:. Include some more screenshots of our own visualization. Add the section on the software design. Improve the conclusions of the evaluation, and write a final conclusion. Add version 3.0. Add something about the source of our data. Let us know what you think!

PJ BARTELS, JANNES VAN USSEL and TOM DE BUYSER. Daily Archives: December 5, 2013. December 5, 2013. Last week, we already had quite a good idea what we wanted to test with our visualization: we want to test in what way our visualization affects reasoning and hypothesis generation. We are going to (try to) do three things:. Basically, it all comes down to this: “Please tell us what YOU learned when using our visualization”. So, what did you learn? Fill in the form. Or leave it in the comments!

PJ BARTELS, JANNES VAN USSEL and TOM DE BUYSER. Daily Archives: November 27, 2013. November 27, 2013. We’ve made a short video about our visualization. It shows three things:. How to use our visualization. It has a look at some teams that relegated in the last few seasons. How did that happen for them? It makes a comparison between the performances of Anderlecht and Club Brugge in the last fifteen years. November 27, 2013. Visualisation version 2.2. Or use this short link to the gamma version.
