December (Aftermath) | The Loquacious Coyote
https://loquaciouscoyote.wordpress.com/2016/12/07/december-aftermath
Strange Love, Laughter and the Beauty of Weird. December 7, 2016. December is for aftermath. For an impossible election, for editing our NaNo drafts, for the first round of holiday over eating. I didn’t get 50k in November. I could come up with a bunch of reasons. I lost my motivation. Distracted by the US Election and its results. Trying to understand the implications that it holds for people I care about. The next month will be just as mad. My wife’s second novel is in final beta. So edit...Fill in you...

Insanity, Day One | The Loquacious Coyote

Strange Love, Laughter and the Beauty of Weird. November 2, 2016. Insanity, Day One. Day one of National Novel Writing Month is a wrap for this guy. I wrote a prologue and a first chapter and I already feel way better than I have about things that I have written in quite sometime. So yay for that. Word Count for Day One: 2475. Opening line: The sky was clear of clouds, stars dotting the veil of black sky, the moon a red sliver. Did you make 1667? Or whatever your goal was? This entry was posted in Books.

Arrival | The Loquacious Coyote
https://loquaciouscoyote.wordpress.com/2016/12/22/arrival
Strange Love, Laughter and the Beauty of Weird. December 22, 2016. I have had three drafts of a review for Arrival. WordPress ate one and I deleted the other two. One was moony and fawning, the other was overly florid, pretentious swill. I don’t always feel the need to be a critic. I love peer review, beta reading and editing, but reviewing a final work always seems disingenuous. I have to separate my Feeling and instead qualify and quantify. This entry was posted in Media. Tefr: March 2011

Tuesday, 22 March 2011. Continuing with the posting of the short narratives that I'm wrtiting to front up each of the chapters in the Prelude to Rhapsody. Book, I've finally completed the piece for Chapter 5 ( Healing, Herbs and Alchemy. Story-line, and this little narrative about herb-lore seemed a good introduction to the way it could be used in a Tefr scenario. 8216;That one is not good, it will make your companions even more ill,’ he said. Saneshi had made Yversh and the others as comfortable as she ...

Tefr: November 2010

Monday, 1 November 2010. Meres looked away and cursed; the shield would have been the best protection he had against an unknown archer, but there was no help for that now. He kept his back to the tree, it was big enough to hide him from sight for now; he was fairly sure the arrow that caught Camore had come from just up the slope behind it. 8216;Yaruk, are ye’right? 8217; he shouted across the clearing in Gal. If they could just survive long enough to get it back to the priests at Parlin. 8216;Simple and...

Tefr: August 2009

Sunday, 30 August 2009. The First Two Tefr Scenarios. I have now uploaded two scenarios to Lulu. All The Fun of the Fair. The Horn of the Clan. All The Fun of The Fair. The Horn of The Clan. Whilst I have managed to limit the amount of excess descriptive detail, I still think I have over-written this scenario. It is probably even more scripted, in places, than. All The Fun of The Fair. Tefr: March 2009

Wednesday, 25 March 2009. At the suggestion of Leo Hartas, I'm moving the news part of the Tefr site into this blog format. Partly because it will be easier to update, and partly to make it a bit more insightful. By that I mean that I will be talking more about the process of developing Tefr. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
