Babe in Boysland: September 2009
http://babeinboysland.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 8, 2009. As a birthday gift, my triplet sisters (the other two are identical and I'm fraternal- it's very rare) took me out to see Chels in her show. It was pretty much awesome. Now, here we see Meg and I doing a self-inflicted photo. I typically love how these turn out. See Don't we look cute? But undoubtedly, some good citizen always comes along and offers to help us take our photo. Chels, Me, and Meg. I wish I'd gotten their gorgeous giant eyes. Let's start our next "Triplets Night ...

Monday, February 22, 2010. Knock it off Napoleon! Make yer self a dang kaysuhdilluh! Today my 2 year old insisted on watching Napoleon. Dynamite. So about half way through I joined him and my 4 yr old Jojo on the couch. First of all, that show is still funny. What's even funnier is when Jojo casually said:. Mom, did you know I can throw a football over the mountains? Posted by Babe in Boysland. Thursday, February 18, 2010. Embarrassing story for Shellie. At my school, everyone at recess. Had to get a pas...

grovetrotter: Financial Fiasco
http://rickgrove.blogspot.com/2008/08/financial-fiasco.html
Tuesday, August 26, 2008. I'll get back to France soon - for now. Like most students, I support myself during the academic year by borrowing large amounts of money generously fronted to me by banks and guaranteed by good ol' Uncle Sam. He may want his many nieces and nephews educated but he wants 'em to do it on their own dime. Ain't America grand? Me, arriving at FAO: "Excuse me, good sir, but would you be kind enough to tell me when I might expect my educational loan check to be available for pick up?

grovetrotter: My First Trip, Part Three - Blog 7
http://rickgrove.blogspot.com/2008/07/my-first-trip-part-three-blog-7.html
Sunday, July 6, 2008. My First Trip, Part Three - Blog 7. So, now that I have control of my blog again, let's continue with my trip. After Mont St Michel we visited Omaha Beach. We stayed about three hours, including going through the Memorial Museum, the Cemetery and the beach itself. Two things surprised me about seeing the Beach:. 2 – It was a beautiful beach. If the beach didn’t have such a tragic history it would have made a lovely destination. Wandering through the headstones you felt humbled, grat...

knit_north: spruce tip jelly
http://knit-north.blogspot.com/2010/06/yes-you-read-title-correctly.html
Monday, June 7, 2010. Yes, you read the title correctly . spruce tip. It is spruce tip collecting time in the Yukon . or really the end of it. For a couple weeks in May you can go collect the new 'buds' just before the brown papery covering has fallen off . before they get too mature. You can eat them right off the tree - they taste almost lemony. So Christine and I inspired by our new Miche Genest cookbooks. Went out into the woods to gather them up. Many bug bites later we emerged with a bag each!
